a lil highlight reel of my espeon eeveeloution jester costume for the Feast of Fools weekend at @washingtonfaire!

the hat is the part of the costume i’m happiest with because it was a cute, easy to wear hennin and it made me so recognizable because of the shape matching the ears so well! (i followed @drawingsbynicole’s pattern and tutorial!)

we gave out “canst though catch them all?” cards and had a scavenger hunt for people to find us all and get an ultimate, group trinket if they did. it was so fun! people got really into it. thank you @gingersnark for making the cards and @tays_cosplays for making the wooden trinkets! (i didn’t take good video of either but Ryan has a full vlog up on her page!)

If anyone is looking for a fun family activity ove

If anyone is looking for a fun family activity over Memorial Day weekend come see my Irish dance company’s annual benefit show on Sunday! The show is free, but in lieu of ticket sales we’ll be accepting donations of diapers and wipes for families the local community.

Our dance teams (4-5 y/o up through adults of all ages!) will perform traditional Irish dances, original choreography, and even do a couple of demonstrations. Soft and hard shoe!

Sunday, May 24th at 7:00 p.m. – the show usually lasts about an hour and a half. All details in the images of the post. (Or DM me and I can send you the info, too. :)

i’ve made the decision to cancel the kickstarter f

i’ve made the decision to cancel the kickstarter for my second book. for now! the timing just isn’t right so i’m hitting “pause”. if you pledged, the money you committed will just stay yours – kickstarter doesn’t collect pledges until the end.

i knew that the timing was off before i launched. there was a little voice in the back of my head whispering, “it’s okay to push the kickstarter back” and i ignored it. even though i knew that i hadn’t laid the groundwork for a well marketed launch, that i hadn’t done any of the things that i needed to do for a successful campaign, i believed if launched anyway that everything would just work out. my goal was my angel number, after all!

a bunch of people signed up for my newsletter at a con i was just recently at and i promised them the first half of my second book as an arc if they did. i’m getting ready to send that out, so if you’re interested, click the link in my bio to sign up for my newsletter. it’ll hit inboxes this weekend.

like i said, this isn’t a goodbye forever! i’m going to pause, re-group, prep my materials, marketing, content (yada yada), maybe even finish the book ;), and re-launch this project later… i’m not sure how much later, but you’ll know. there will be signs.
